T.A.T.U. -200 KM/H in the Wrong Lane
Crappy songs with REALLY catchy choruses.
They get stuck in your head easily, but the verses really aren't much
worth listening to. I don't like their voices when singing alone. I
didn't expect the electronics though, which helps out the cd...but
they just do something REALLY wrong.....
Highlights: All the Things She Said (the single),
Lowlights: How Soon Is Now? (THEY ATTEMPT A MORISSEY COVER! THUMBS
DOWN), Clowns. yikes.
Verdict: For the fact that they destroy Morissey, boycott them.
30 Seconds to Mars- s/t
Whoa! Mr Leto needs to quit acting and keep
making music. This album is incredible. Moody, chaotic, and
beautiful.
Highlights: Capricorn, Mission
Lowlights: Echelon
Verdict: Buy it
A great mix of the styles of all the other
albums. You've got a little bit of everything on this one. Nick's
lyrics are a tad more sophisticated, but they've still got the
classic 311 cheese we love.
Highlights: I Told Myself, Uncalm
Lowlights: Amber
Verdict: Buy it
Time in Malta- A Second Engine
I was expecting emo, got non-scary hardcore.
Not too bad. Helmet/Snapcase-ish. There are some melodic songs. I
don't mind this at all like I thought I would. Little off at times
though.
Highlights: Read Your Mind, You
Faded
Lowlights: Dissolve, Azure
Verdict: Yeah, I'm actually going to say you
should purchase this.
12 Stones- s/t
Whoa, way too Default/Saliva/typical radio
rock band here. Sounds like the singer is trying to immitate Scooter
from Cold in the weird singing...but...no. He should stop. This band
should stop. I could barely bring myself to even listen to half of
the tracks all the way through
Highlights: Eric's Song (last track, means the disc is done), Broken
(the little scream gives it a glimmer of hope)
Lowlights: Crash...these poor misguided boys
Verdict: please, don't submit yourself to this torture
