Reggie and the Full Effect- Promotional Copy
Great album. It's whiny yet hard yet
electronic, yet pretty....well written. I could do without the skits,
but oh well.
Highlights: Thanks for Staying
Lowlights: the little annoying skits
Verdict: Buy it!!
Listening to this album makes me wonder what
I ever liked about their debut. The music is much stronger, and
singer Drew actually includes hooks in his lyric writing this time
around that won't leave every song sounding the same. These guys are
filled with energy but to get the full effect, you'll have to check
out a show.
Highlights: Killing Me, Unborn
Lowlights: Catarax
Verdict: Buy it, and then see them live
Riddlin Kids- Hurry Up and Wait
These guys look like people you went to
school with. And play like that too. I bet you know a band like this
in high school. Hopefully the guys in your high school had better
voices though. He's trying to get that rough sound....and it didnt
work.
Highlights: Follow Through
Lowlights: Here We Go Again (this is begging to be a single), It's
the End of the World....(LEAVE THIS SONG ALONE, DAMMIT)
Verdict: You prolly either have it already, or you don't. Leave it
that way.
Rocking Horse Winner- Horizon
Ooh, don't like this girl's voice. She tries
to reach for notes she can't hit...then stops short of it which is
good cos I don't want glass to break, but it sounds stupid. Stick
with the guest vocals on Dashboard. No one needs to know who you
are.
Highlights: Playing with Lights (Because it's only 1:56 mins)
Lowlights: Orange Blossom, Christmas Day (I've never heard anything
related to Christmas sound so awful)
Verdict: Run screaming with your hands over your ears
